Medical Information

Please contact the school before 10.00am to advise if your child is going to be absent from school due to sickness. Please click HERE to see our attendance policy.

Sickness Guidelines for Exclusion from School
Please see below for the Health Protection Exclusions Table, explains exclusion periods for various illnesses and ailments. If your child has sickness and diarrhoea, we would not expect them to return to school for at least 24 hours after their last episode.

Management of Headlice
Headlice are extremely common in close-knit environments such as schools. We follow guidance from the Once a Week Take a Peak campaign, for which you can find out more information HERE.

Medicines in School
From time to time your child may be well enough to attend school but requires medicine throughout the day. When this happens, please bring the named box/bottle into to the office and complete the required medical form. We cannot administer medicine without the completion of this form. You can download this below, or the office can provide one.

First Aid in School
If your child has an accident in school, it is recorded in an accident book by a first aid trained member of staff. If your child has bumped their head a note is sent home and we will try to contact a parent/carer.
