Source of Hope Centre

In March we will be hosting a Teacher and a Psychologist from the Source of Hope Centre in the Ukraine. Accompanied by their translators, they are training to help disabled children across schools in the Ukraine where SEN children are currently uneducated.

MCH held a case study in Koresten, sending two therapists to work with the Children Lifeline charity. After training staff there in basic Physiotherapy and Occupational therapy techniques, four children that were helped to stand are now able to walk, two of these independently. Another child has been able to stand and walk for the first time after only a couple of visits.

A second visit to the Source of Hope Centre has introduced Speech and Language Therapy, has seen another two children master walking and has provided further training for staff to use, continuing MCH’s work.

By joining us at Twydall, they will be able see how children of all abilities can be educated, how we differentiate the curriculum and they will be able to observe therapists in the school.

We look forward to their arrival.
